Indriya Retreat, Koh Phangan

Blooming Spirit Yoga
& Deep Rest Retreat
Retreat Overview
The Blooming Spirit Retreat is designed as a gentle and nourishing week of yoga, meditation, deep rest, and connection with nature, supporting nervous system regulation and overall wellbeing. The intention of the retreat is to provide participants with a supportive environment to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and restore balance through daily practices and time in nature.
The retreat will include daily yoga and meditation, candlelit Yin sessions, Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation and nervous system restoration, and a special Awakening the Senses cacao ceremony to mark the New Moon. The program will be spacious, allowing participants time to rest, explore the island, and integrate the practices.
I would also love to include a couple of simple excursions during the week, such as a waterfall outing and a relaxing evening visit to one of the local wellness spas with sauna, hot tub, or plunge pools. These moments allow participants to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of Koh Phangan while still maintaining the calm atmosphere of the retreat.
The retreat style is intentionally quiet and reflective, which aligns well with the peaceful environment of Indriya. All offerings are calm, meditative, and respectful of the atmosphere of the center.

What is a retreat?
The word "retreat" literally means "seclusion" and is used as an international term to denote time of solitude dedicated to either intensive practice, deep learning, or creativity.

A retreat implies that a person withdraws from society and their daily routine for a certain period (several days or even weeks) to rest, live in simple conditions, alone, in silence, and in nature.

Most often, retreats take place in quiet natural settings, away from noise and hustle of big cities.

Retreat programs at the Indriya Retreat center offer opportunities for a deep and authentic retreat experience.

A retreat is not an entertainment program or a chase for excitement; it is a deep internal practice aimed at healing your mind and heart through intensive meditation:
The retreat emphasizes:
  • Daily yoga and meditation
  • Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra practices
  • Connection with nature
  • Spacious time for rest and integration
  • Meaningful group experiences such as the New Moon cacao ceremony
  • Fresh perception bringing you back to enjoying simple things
  • Connection with your intuition, fresh creative ideas
  • Uplifted spirit and inspiration for new achievements

Optional Add‑On Offerings

Participants may also have the option to book private sessions during free time, such as:
• Private yoga sessions
• Meditation guidance
• Yoga Nidra sessions
• Bodywork or therapeutic sessions

These optional offerings can enhance the retreat experience and allow participants to deepen their personal journey.

As a result of practice:
  • Deep nervous system relaxation
  • Mental reset & emotional release
  • Reconnection with your body
  • A deeper personal practice
  • Restored energy and vitality
  • Experience of slowing down
  • Connection with nature
  • Clarity and inner insights
  • Sense of support and community
  • Awakening of sensitivity and awareness
  • A sense of renewal and completion
About the teacher

Nola Bloom
Nola Bloom is a yoga and meditation teacher based on Koh Phangan, Thailand, where she has lived for nearly two decades and has been teaching for more than 16 years.
Originally from Canada, Nola’s yoga journey began during her travels in Thailand and deepened through years of dedicated practice and study. She trained in Ashtanga Yoga, a discipline that continues to influence the strong foundation of her teaching, even as her work has evolved toward more nourishing and restorative practices such as Yin Yoga, meditation, and Yoga Nidra.
Over the past 15+ years Nola has taught at many of the island’s most well‑known yoga spaces including The Sanctuary, Orion Healing Centre, Yoga House Café, Arcana, Shivari Art of Life, and other established centers on Koh Phangan, supporting thousands of students through yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness practices.
Having lived on Koh Phangan for so many years, Nola offers retreat participants something uniquely special: the guidance of a long‑time resident who knows the island intimately. She loves sharing the quieter beauty of the island — peaceful beaches, waterfalls, jungle paths, and the calming rhythms of nature that make Koh Phangan such a powerful place for retreat and renewal.
Nola is also the host of The Blooming Spirit Podcast, where she shares guided meditations and dharma talks inspired by yoga philosophy, nature, and personal experience. Her teaching style is intuitive, grounded, and nurturing, helping students reconnect with themselves and experience the profound nourishment that comes through deep rest and mindful awareness.
